The selector of the Kosovo National Team, Franco Foda, appeared today at a press conference, through which he revealed his intentions for the October matches.
Kosovo will play on October 12 against Lithuania on the road, while three days before, on the 15th of this month, it will host Cyprus at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina.
The German coach first spoke about the two challenges of this month, within the League of Nations, writes “Gazeta Express”.
“We will try to win both games. First, we will have some training sessions before us, we will see during the week how we will act and how we will settle in the matches with Lithuania and Cyprus. At the moment, we will only think about the match with Lithuania, from which we intend to come out well”, said Foda at the press conference.
Further, he was also asked about the important absence of Vedat Muriqi, who is injured.
But, Foda insists that, despite the importance of the “Pirate”, the Dardanians have replacements and alternatives for him.
“Vedati is very important for our team, we have enough alternatives, we have Rashica as the first option, then Asllani, but also Rrahmani. So we have some alternatives that can replace Vedat Muriq”, he added.
He also revealed that Astrit Selmani has suffered an injury, so Muharrem Jashari will take his place.
Regarding the exclusion of the trio Zhegrova – Murič – Muslija, Foda said that the decision was taken by him in cooperation with the Federation due to their violation of the regulation.
And when we are at the gate, Foda did not hide his joy that from now on he will have another quality goalkeeper at his disposal, more precisely Amir Saipin, who has now joined the Dardans, while he said that he has not yet decided whether against Lithuania the titular be it goalkeeper Arijanet Muric or Amir Saipi.
